Welcome To Frances Street!

Hi! I'm Kathleen. Thank you for stopping by to check out my blog. I am a South Florida photographer, born and raised on Frances Street in Key West, FL. I made so many memories on that street as a child and feel like my photography caputures those kinds of memories for other people: moments that are real and personal to each and every client that I photograph. I think I was originally drawn to photography because it was a good excuse not to be the one in front of the camera...I am probably the most unphotogenic photographer you will ever meet! However, once I started learning this amazing craft I became ADDICTED! Addicted to capturing beautiful, natural, candid moments that would otherwise be forgotten. This past year has been such a great first year for Frances Street Photography. When I decided to take the plunge and turn my hobby into a little side business, I honestly told myself well why not, if I get a job or 2 a month that would be more than great! I have been so blessed to have exceeded those expectations and can not wait to see what 2010 will bring for FSP!!

And since I hate posting without a picture here is a shot I took at the beach during out Keys Christmas! I tried to think of something cool I could say to have this image tie into the whole new year’s theme of this post but I couldn’t…but at least it’s pretty to look at…right? :)
